    Lee High - It’s Over

    Both lyrically and figuratively. This was the last song we played on our show.


    i have to say, the pissed-off bear looks adorable, even when he’s being an a**. no wonder lee high fell for him. one of my co-dj’s tells me that his outfits resemble those that other YG artists have worn, though i can only really recognize g-dragon at 2:15, from one of a kind. or maybe that’s also taeyang’s bandanna.

It will be…interesting.

    Infinite - Man in Love

    i have to admit, i was hoping i wouldn’t have to write this review cuz i didn’t particularly like this infinite song. that being said:

    • SCOTTISH FOLD KITTY
    • THE OPENING SOUNDS LIKE RICK ASTLEY
    • i don’t really like the song, but the lyrics aren’t bad
    • i don’t often hear kpop guys referring themselves as men (Think “Young Boy”, “Hot Boy”, etc.)
    • as always their dancing is flawless. just not particularly noteworthy. though that may be cuz i’m half-lucid (edit: i am now fully lucid and i still don’t care for the dance. doesn’t help that i’m meh about the song)
    • i like the fact that there wasn’t any girl present, cuz having the same girl being chased by multiple hot guys makes you suspend disbelief
    • there were some really cute moments: guy getting told off in class. guy trying to cook. guy talking to a teddy bear.guy talking to ADORABLE SCOTTISH FOLD KITTY

    Teen Top - Miss Right

    interesting. the opening is super gritty, and it makes you wonder if they’ll to the b.a.p. route (i.e. being badasses), but then they explode into that kind of music that you can’t take seriously. love the song, though. it’s so playful.

    i’m conflicted over the mv. i like the little shuffle dance, reminds me of “don’t spray perfume on me”.  but it makes absolute no sense whyy they have jail uniforms. also, you guys gotta get over your long hair fetish. i think the locker room scenes are adorable, though, i don’t think there was enough of them. and it’s great how she totally brushed niel off.

    Shinee - Dream Girl

    hmm, i wonder if this is the show for the awesomest use of accessories: first the suspenders, and now microphone stands. so awesome; shinee really has some of the best dancers. it’s such a simple object BUT YOU GUYS LOOK SO SOPHISTICATED


    this music video is pretty trippy. it’s getting close to jpop mv levels of weirdness, especially with that girl with flowers sticking out of her face.

    .Girl’s Day - Expectation

    …well. 

    And I was just complaining about the lack of sexiness in rania’s recent mv. Guess girl’s day stole it all.  That’s the sexiest use of suspenders I’ve ever seen. Though after seeing it once, i kinda got tired of it. also the dance looks kinda stupid without suspenders

    at first, i really liked the storyline, with the soft lightng and the slow motion and the genuinely happy looks. but then i was kinda eeeeeeeeeeeeh about her snooping on his cell phone. that’s not as bad as cheating, but it’s also a no-no. also, the ending was kinda bad-ass, but also kinda of a disappointment. i was expecting her to slooooooowly strangle him or something, in that soft lighting

    G.Na - Oops!

    It’s been mentioned that it’s more like an Ilhoon song featuring G.Na. Now that I think about it, I don’t remember G.Na ever rapping. Anyway, this is an adorable song, and it highlighted a lot of G.Na’s cute sides. Unlike with 2HOT, I really liked her outfits. That over-sized sweater and short wig looked really good on her. Not crazy about that business suit thingy, though, with the pointy shoulders. Other thoughts:


    She makes pretty cute faces when she’s just waking up
    That flesh-colored top…i think it was supposed to make her look naked, but it was more like a poor-fitting pice of pantyhose.
    Weird, i think she looks better in the shots without makeup. somehow it makes her face look less angular

    EVOL - Get Up

    This mv has so much awesome attitude. They can actually make facial expressions when they’re lip-syncing!And their silhouetted dancing; t’s like they make shaking your butt so much classier. And that chorus is so catchy, i feel like making that my new ringtone and having it go off in anthropology class (but that’s another story). But my favorite part is at 2:23 where they say their group name but you know they’re saying “we are EVIL”.

    Rania - Just Go

    Good: very epic beginning

    Bad: those black jumpsuits. Hey Rania, your grandma called, she wants her underwear back, yukyukyuk (Imsosorryraniaihavenothingagainstyouidontknowwhyimsomean)


    Good: bedazzled eyelids


    Bad: uninspired dancing (of course, they set a high standard with Dr. Feel Good)


    Good: showing Rania members in relationships with different guys, as opposed to one, and in passive-agressive relationships. Very uncommon in kpop.


    Bad: stealing G.Na’s butt-shaking
